I've never been tagged before! This is all so new and exciting for me! Thanks, Andrea for making me feel loved! Now, to come up with 7 interesting facts about me. Hmm...
1. Both Dave and I were raised as the 2nd of 8 kids at home, with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. However, we both have more siblings than that. Dave has a sister who passed away as a baby, so he is actually the 3rd of 9, and I now have 3 new siblings that have been added in the last few years, so I am actually the 2 of 11! Wow! How does my mom keep doing it!?!?! I can barely handle 5, and I am sure there are those out there who could argue quite convincingly that I'm not handling it!
2. My brother is my niece's brother. Huh? That's right, and, no, there hasn't any hanky panky going on! My older sister adopted the younger biological sister of the youngest boy my parents adopted. So, she has an uncle-brother and he has a sister-neice. You don't get that everyday! (I know that isn't really about me, but it is still interesting!)
3. I have twins. Ok, so everyone already knows that already, but still! That puts me in a minority... only 1 birth in 100.
4. I graduated with a degree in History Teaching from BYU, and I taught at a High School for troubled teens while I was pregnant with D. I had 1 group of kids who were all in state custody and another that were all juvenile sex offenders and both classes had to always be escorted to class with at least one security guard.
5. I'm a bi-centinneal baby. My mom use to always save the bi-centinneal quarters and give them to me when I was little. At the time, I knew I was suppose to care that it had some significance to my birth, but all I thought was, "Hey! I got a quarter!" Now, if I ever come across one again, I'm going to save it!
6. I have a little bit of OCD. I have decided that this is both a strengh and a weakness. This summer we were at my parents cabin and my mom wanted us all to write facts about ourselves to have other's guess. My sister jokingly made some comment about this trait of mine and my dad seemed shocked. He said, "That doesn't sound like Cheryl at all. I always think that means that someone gets something in their head and then and ignores everything else." We all just started at him because I really could come up with a better description of me! Like I said, this can be a strength because once I start a project, it usually gets done pretty quickly because I can't stand to have it 1/2 done. On the other hand, Dave doesn't always enjoy it when I get a project started. He has learned to just sit back and stay out of my way until I'm done and hope it doesn't take long. I've tried to tell him this is really to his benefit because I never ask him to do things around the house. I can't stand to wait for him to have time to do it, so I always just do it myself.
7. I love food. No surprise there! But, when I was little, my neighbors use to call me Hoover because I could clean up my plate faster and better than their best vacuum could.
Ok, there you go! Did you learn something new? Hee...hee... Ok... Now I tag:
