Spring Football, '10

Another season has come and gone. The boys had a great time and did very well.

B getting instructions on the next play from his coach.
I'm extremely proud of getting this picture. Here is B catching the ball. It was an interception. Yeah!

This is a little chant D's team does before and after every game. We always get a kick out of. D is always the one who leads it.

Spring Dance, '10

While the boys have been busy with football, the girls have been busy with Dance. They had their performance recently and both did great.

Here is CK in her lovely little costume

With her class (2nd from Rt in back row)

They each had a little "solo" where they showed us their favorite things to do in dance.

Gila Valley Temple Open House

Just over 2 years ago, on April 26, 2008 the church announced the construction of 2 new temples in Arizona. While the one we are most excited for (because it will be so close to our house) still doesn't have a ground breaking date scheduled, the other one was dedicated today. We were lucky enough to go and take the kids to the open house. It was such a great experience! It was especially neat because we were able to go and sit in each of the rooms, including the Celestial Room. I really enjoyed the chance to sit down in the rooms and explain to my kids what they were. We went up on a Sunday and spent the night with our wonderful friends then went to the open house the next morning.

Here is the Temple.

Our family outside the temple after our tour.

KL just really enjoyed spreading out her skirt and posing for pictures, so she deserved another one.

Happy Birthday, D!!!

It is hardly believe it, but my baby turned 12!! That just seems like such a milestone age, and it's hard to believe that I have a son who is that old. Before I know it, he'll be a teenager. He is such a good kid and his little sisters love him. He is great with the little girls and he is extremely helpful to me. He always has been. I always think back to when he was just 3 1/2 and the twins were born. I could totally count on him to help me. He would grab things for me when I needed them and he would know when to stay away from me so I could take a nap. What a good kid!

With his favorite present... an Ipod touch. He better love us now!

With his birthday cake... Ice Cream Sandwich cake. Yummm!!

We had a little birthday party for him the following Friday night. It was a Suns Playoff party. We watched the Suns beat the Spurs in the 2nd round of the play offs.

He got the priesthood the following Sunday. The same day, my little brother Roman was ordained a teacher. My brother, Vasa, ordained him. He was nervous, but it was a sweet experience! Here are all the priesthood holders who were there.

Science Fair

D had to do a science project this year for science class. The teacher picked the top 10 from each class and had them displayed at the science fair. D made it into the top 10. In fact, he got his turned in a day early and the teacher used his an example of what an "A" project looked like. His project tested to see what kind of football goes farther (is it any surprise that his project revolved around football?). Here he is by his display.

Life goes on..

I know it has been awhile since I've updated the blog. This isn't because there has been nothing going on... Nor is it because I've been so extraordinarily busy either. I've just been preoccupied. I've just had so much fun having a new little baby in the house. If I have any extra time, I want to spend it holding her. I just can't believe how fast the time goes! I really wish I could freeze her. She is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries. Even if she needs something, she doesn't like to cry lout for a long time. She just lets me know she's there and then waits for me to come. She has truly captured all of our hearts. Nonetheless, life does go on and I will spend the next few days trying to catch up with everything else we have been doing over the last few weeks. I'll start out with just some random pictures of us enjoying our newest addition.

This is the morning we left the hospital. All bundled up and ready to leave! 2 days old
When we got home from the hospital, we found this: The big sisters had made welcome home signs and were kind enough to share their stuffed animals with A.

The first night we were home, I went in the little girls room (KL and A are sharing a room together). At first, I panicked because I couldn't find KL. I did a quick sweep of the room, and sure enough... I found her! This is how she had fallen asleep.

CK loves to hold her baby sister. She will hold her hours if I'll let her. (A: 6 days old)
