A month or so ago, B hurt his ankle playing football at school. Thankfully, it wasn't broken. Still, his sprain was right around his growth plates, so the doctor put him in a cast for 2 weeks. Right off the bat, B wasn't too excited about the presence of the cast. The doctor said he was surprised because most kids are excited about getting cast on...at least for the first time. B couldn't be fooled. He knew what this would mean to his active social life.

It was a happy day when it came off.

There was some anxiety present with that saw.

Mostly, he said that it tickled.

He is still limping around with a brace, but he is able to get around quite a bit more and there are far fewer tears shed when his friends want to play ball and he can only watch.
